Sliding Scale Rates
TAC assesses fees for all clients using a sliding scale. As of 11/2021, our current sliding scale range is $90-180/therapy hour.*
As a starting point, sliding scale rates are determined by annual household income and household size. In addition, all clients who receive the following services will automatically be charged at the lowest end of our sliding scale:
- Unemployment
- SSI or SSDI
- SNAP / Basic Food / FAP / WIC / TANF / other state food assistance
- Health insurance through Apple Health (Medicaid)
Proof of membership in any of these programs are sufficient income documentation. If your financial circumstances change at any point, let us know. We will adjust your rate.
We also understand there are unique situations that need to be looked at individually. We are happy to discuss any special circumstances that arise.
If we are able to lower the bottom of our sliding scale, clients currently charged $90/hour will be automatically adjusted to the new lower rate for future sessions.
After filling out our new appointment contact form, our clinic coordinators will be in touch to schedule your free consultation. They'll be happy to calculate your exact rate at that time.
Assessments vary in price according to complexity of testing required. They will also be charged at a sliding scale rate. After filling out our new appointment contact form, our assessment team will be in touch to discuss assessment pricing.
Before your first session, we will ask you to upload proof of household income to the patient portal. We accept your most recent tax return or W2 / tax equivalent.
TAC fundraises and accepts donations to lower the bottom end of our scale. We are constantly striving to make our sliding scale more accessible for all. If you’d like to help, please consider making a charitable donation.
* A therapy hour includes 50 minutes of direct clinical care with your provider, plus 10 minutes of offline record-keeping and case management.
